Hello everyone!
Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope that 2012 brings you great blessings and happiness.
Glad to be back at the crafting game again! The holidays have been simply wonderful with lots of relaxing with family and fun fellowship with friends. Today is the Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky with K. Andrew. She thought it would be fun to challenge everyone with creating a project with the theme of "It's a Celebration." Create a project of any kind celebrating anything you want, a birthday, a new house, or a new year, as I did.
I kept my project pretty simple because I wanted to use one of Kristals image stamps and color it with my copics. Coloring take a while as many of you know so I didn't want anything to take away too much from the stamps themselves.
This adorable little owl came from the K. Andrew set Hoot Owl Image set. You can see the set below. It is filled with cute little owls and the party hat came from the accessory stamp set the coordinates with the Hoot Owl set. The "Whoo's" is a stamp from the Owly Hoo Sentiments set which you can also see below. It is so versatile. You can mix and match the words to create your own sentiments. "Ready for a new year" was printed out on from my computer and the ? is from the Owly Hoo set also.
After I colored the owl I cut him out and popped him up with pop dots. I will be using these same stamps for other projects for our blog hop coming up later this month. Hop on over to Getting Cricky and see what the other design team members have created for the challenge and then create your own celebration project and link it to Getting Cricky. Check out the blog for the rules for linking up so that you can have a chance to win a set of K. Andrew stamps!
Below are the sets that I used.
Blessings and Happy New Year!
